“Oh! Christmas Tree, Oh! Christmas Tree! How lovely are your branches…” The first mention in history of fir trees used in Christmas celebrations was in 12th century Germany. This Watercolor Quilt Kit is a wonderful way to display the tradition with color and splendor! (And without dropping needles and taking up lots of room!!) The fun part of making this kit is decorating the tree! After the decorations in the kit are applied, it can be displayed as is, or it can be personalized further if you wish by using cast off or heirloom jewelry pieces, glitzy buttons, rhinestones, scrapbooking accessories, glittered fabrics cut into ornament shapes, or sew-on actual miniature Christmas balls or tiny picture frames of loved ones. The possibilities are endless! Finished size is approximately 18″ x 24″ without border. Designed by Mim Schlabach.
All kits include: Dark, medium, and light die-cut watercolor fabrics, necessary applique fabrics and patterns, along with detailed instructions and a color photo.
